What Is Torch Roofing?
Without going into too much technical detail, flare roofs usually consist of two layers of modified bitumen membrane. Each layer is approximately 3 to 4 mm thick. Both the base sheet’s top surface and the sheet’s underside have a hot-melt plastic cover, hence the term “Torch On Roofing .”The roofing material is rolled and permanently welded, forming a bond with the layer or layers below. Unlike tar and gravel roofing, no noxious or unpleasant fumes are produced during installation.
